San Jose, Costa Rica, January 24, 2022
The Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the European Court of Human Rights, and the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights announce the second Joint Law Report 2020, which provides an overview of their main jurisprudential developments during that year. You can view the Joint Law Report 2020 here.
This initiative is a part of the constant dialogue promoted and carried out by the world’s three regional human rights courts. From now on, the three Courts will work together to present an annual publication describing their main jurisprudential developments.
The 2020 Joint Law Report is a useful tool for the different actors interested in learning about and closely following the different jurisprudential developments on the three continents.
This Joint Law Report is a part of the activities planned within the framework of the Declarations of Kampala (2019) and San José (2018), which were adopted following meetings between the three Courts. Within this agenda of activities, the three regional courts held International Human Rights Forums in 2020 and 2021, during which they exchanged views on various relevant issues being handled by each of the courts and promoted instances of jurisprudential dialogue.
