Last Wednesday, May 11, the Inter-American Court received a delegation of Judges from the Superior Labour Court of Brazil and signed an Institutional Cooperation Agreement with the National School for the Training and Improvement of Labour Judges, and with the Judicial School of the Regional Labour Court of the 14th Region.
All Judges of the Inter-American Court participated, led by the Court’s President, Judge Ricardo C. Pérez Manrique. The Brazilian delegation was made up of His Excellency Mr. Antônio Francisco da Costa e Silva Neto, Ambassador of Brazil in Costa Rica, Minister Dora Maria da Costa of the Superior Labour Court, Minister Aloysio Corrêa da Veiga of the National School for the Training and Improvement of Labour Magistrates, Minister Douglas Alencar Rodrigues of the National School for the Training and Improvement of Labour Magistrates, Judge Platon Teixeira de Azevedo Neto of the National School for the Training and Improvement of Labour Magistrates, Appellate Judge Maria Cesarineide de Souza Lima of the Regional Labour Court, Judge Fernanda Antunes Marques Junqueira of the Regional Labour Court, Appellate Judge Marcello Maciel Mancilha of the Regional Labour Court and Lucas dos Santos, Embassy of Brazil in Costa Rica.
The President of the Inter-American Court, Judge Ricardo C. Pérez Manrique, emphasized the importance of conducting activities for the exchange and training on the Inter-American Court’s Case Law for Brazilian Judges.
In turn, Judge Rodrigo Mudrovitsch highlighted the importance of Judges in Brazil having ever-increasing knowledge of the Inter-American Court’s Case Law, not only regarding cases involving the State, but also for the System for Protection of Rights as a whole.
