Publication of the 36th Case Law Bulletin of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights: Case law relating to Brazil

Brasilia, Brazil, August 22, 2022. During the 150th Regular Session held in Brazil from August 22 to 26, 2022, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights announce the publication in Portuguese of the 36thCase Law Bulletin of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights: Case Law relating to Brazil. This initiative adds to the publication in Portuguese of other Case Law Bulletins and the launch of the Court's website in that language, as well as a series of collaborative efforts between Brazilian authorities and the Court.

This is the seventh Bulletin taking a systematic approach to the Inter-American Court’s case law regarding a State and represents an historic occasion, as it is the first Case Law Bulletin edited and originally published in Portuguese by the Court of San José. Download the Bulletin here.

We hope that this Case Law Bulletin will aid dissemination of the Inter-American Court’s judgments in the sister Republic of Brazil, among its authorities, its judges, prosecutors and public defenders, academia, and civil society organizations, as well as among those interested in the decisions of the Court of San José in the country and throughout the region.

The Inter-American Court of Human Rights’ series of Case Law Bulletins aims to publicize the Court's principal case law on various topics of regional relevance and interest.
