Finalize the Training Program on recent Case Law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in El Salvador

 

On October 6, started the third and final module of the training program on recent developments in the case law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in El Salvador began on October 6. The final module of this program will be imparted on October 8, 13 and 15 via videoconferences. The opening presentation was delivered by Professor Claudia Martin, Co-Director of the Academy on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law and Professorial Lecturer in Residence at American University, Washington College of Law.

Approximately 35 justice officials, including judges, prosecutors of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and agents of the Office of the Attorney General of El Salvador, are participating in the beginning of the conclusion with the aim of gaining a deeper knowledge of recent developments in the case law of the Inter-American Court, related to standards for the administration of justice.

This training Program is being implemented in the context of the project entitled “Strengthening the protection of human rights and the rule of law through jurisprudential dialogue, optimization of capacities, and compliance with the judgments of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras,” undertaken by the Court with the generous support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
