On March 26, 2021, the Inter-American Court closed the second version of the specific training course in Honduras on “Rights of Indigenous and Tribal Peoples, Environmental Rights, and Human Rights Defenders.”

The Course was held from March 22 to 26 using the videoconferencing platform of the “Francisco Salomón Jiménez Castro” Judicial Training Academy of Honduras, with more than 70 participants working in the administration of justice, including judges, prosecutors and agents of the Attorney General’s Office, and in other key institutions for the protection of human rights in that country.

This training program is one of the activities of the Project “Strengthening the protection of human rights and the rule of law through jurisprudential dialogue, optimization of capacities, and compliance with the judgments of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras” that is being implemented by the Inter-American Court with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (COSUDE), the “Francisco Salomón Jiménez Castro” Judicial Training Academy, the Attorney General’s Office, and the Training Academy of the Honduran Public Prosecution Service.
