Inter-American Court of Human Rights closes second Course on latest developments in the Case Law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights

 

On Wednesday, November 11, the Inter-American Court, together with the Institute of the Mexican Federal Judiciary, closed the second Diploma Course on latest developments in the Case Law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, which took place from August 10 through November 11, 2020.

The Diploma Course was imparted by Professor Claudia Martin and Professor María Fernanda López Puleio, and the closing session was held over videoconference. It included a lecture by Judge Ricardo Pérez Manrique of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.

This Program was part of the project “Institutional Capacity Building for Human Rights Protection in the Administration of Justice. Framework Cooperation Agreement between the I/A Court H.R., the National Supreme Court and the Council of the Mexican Federal Judiciary.” The purpose of the project was to build local capacities for applying international human rights law and the case law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Around 600 people received this training, including Mexican federal judiciary staff and the general public.
